5th Annual “Pickin’ in the Pasture” benefit concert

Hood County Children’s Charity Fund’s 5th Annual “Pickin’ in the Pasture” concert on Saturday, June 8th at Warren’s Backyard was a rousing success. Texas County legend Kevin Fowler headlined the fun-filled event. Support from the concert has a lasting impact as Hood County students return to school in August 2024. Hood County’s Children’s Charity Fund provides clothing and shoes so children can enter the classroom feeling confident. Funds raised will also help restock clothing closets located on every Hood County school campus that students can utilize when an extreme need is identified during the school day by counselors and teachers. Last year, HCCCF clothed over 1,000 students heading into the school year at the cost of $65,000 and also provided over $20,000 to graduating seniors attending trade schools and who exhibited significant financial need.
