The Calvary Church of Granbury will celebrate 50 years with special guest pastors. The church, which was started by Pastor William Nelson and his wife Evelyn Nelson in 1974, was led by Nelson until 1999. Pastor Jacob Stump is now leading the congregation joined in ministry by his wife Theresa Stump.
The church body moved to their new building on Glen Rose Highway just last year.
Friday, Sept. 20 Reverand Jimmy Toney will speak at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 21, Reverand Richard Flowers will speak. Regular Sunday services are at 10 a.m. The church is located at 4800 Glen Rose Highway. More information at calvarynow.org.
