This holiday season, the historic Granbury Opera House will come alive with the enchanting sights and sounds of “The Nutcracker,” performed by the acclaimed Ballet Frontier of Fort Worth. From Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, audiences young and old are invited to revel in this magical production, a beloved tradition that captures the joy and wonder of the holidays.

Ballet Frontier, renowned for its exquisite artistry and commitment to timeless classics, has been presenting “The Nutcracker” for 12 remarkable years. This year’s production promises to be as dazzling as ever, featuring a talented cast of professional dancers and youth performers, resplendent costumes and world-class choreography. The company’s collaboration with the Granbury Theatre Company offers an intimate and unforgettable holiday experience at one of Granbury’s most iconic venues.

A CLASSIC TALE OF HOLIDAY MAGIC

Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King,” this cherished ballet follows the adventures of a young girl who discovers her nutcracker doll is much more than a simple toy. When it comes to life on Christmas Eve, she is swept into a fantastical battle against the Mouse King and journeys through a sparkling land of sweets. Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, paired with Ballet Frontier’s vibrant storytelling, ensures an unforgettable experience that has delighted audiences around the world for over a century.
