In 2025, there have been more than 607 reported cases of measles in the United States, with more than 480 of these cases occurring in Texas alone. The largest outbreak is occurring in West Texas, which has resulted in 56 hospitalizations and two deaths of school-aged children – the first measles deaths since 2015.
