Suzette Evans—known lovingly as Suzette, Gigi, and Ms. Suzy—passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at LGMC, surrounded by her family. Born to Fritz and Elouise Moore, Suzette grew into a woman whose warmth, compassion, and steady presence touched countless lives.
Suzette is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jeff Evans; who on their 1st date she slapped a mesquito on his cheek (as she said) and Jeff said then and there he knew she was the one for him. Also survived by her son Aric and his wife Melissa; her daughter Tisha; and her cherished grandchildren, Kelli and Caleb. She is also survived by her sisters Joan Christiansen and Sharon Bass. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Tanya Frederick.
A lifelong resident of Granbury from her high school years onward, Suzette built a life centered on family, service, and community. In 1979, she opened her home and her heart by starting a daycare that would become a pillar for hundreds of local families. Known affectionately as Ms. Suzy's, she helped raise generations of children with patience, kindness, and unwavering love. Her daycare offered affordable, safe, and nurturing care for nearly four decades, and she officially retired in 2017—though her influence on the families she served remains timeless.
Suzette had an extraordinary gift for building relationships, and she cultivated many lasting friendships within the Granbury community. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought joy, and her love brought strength to everyone who knew her.
Her legacy lives on in the children she nurtured, the families she supported, and the loved ones she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
