Steven Foster Riley, 74, passed away peacefully Jan. 18, 2026, surrounded by the deep love of his family. Born Jan. 21, 1951, to James and Reba Riley, Steven grew into a man defined by quiet strength, deep compassion, and a steadfast devotion to the people he loved most. His gentle nature, calm presence, and unwavering support made him a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Raised with strong values and a commitment to service, Steven graduated from high school before answering the call to support his country. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and later on Active Duty with the U.S. Air Force — experiences that helped shape his discipline, integrity, and resilience. After completing his military service, he built a respected career in fields that demanded precision and responsibility. As an air traffic controller, he carried the immense responsibility of guiding others safely, a role he fulfilled with exceptional focus and professionalism. Later, he transitioned into the construction industry as a project manager, where he earned the admiration of colleagues for his meticulous attention to detail, steady leadership, and unwavering work ethic.

Steven found his greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments shared with family and friends. He loved spending time outdoors — boating, fishing, and enjoying life by the lake, where he felt most at peace. Whether telling a story, sharing a laugh, or offering a helping hand without hesitation, Steven had a way of making everyone around him feel valued and supported. His kindness was quiet but profound, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Steven’s legacy lives on in the family he adored. He is survived by his beloved wife, Amy, whose partnership and companionship brought him immeasurable joy. He was a proud and loving father to his children, Stephanie, Mark, and Jesse — each of whom carries forward his strength, generosity and gentle spirit. Steven was blessed with six cherished grandchildren: Nicholas, Anthony, Gabriella, Preston, Ethan and Willow. He is also survived by his brother, Robert, and a large circle of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Steven will be remembered for his humility, warmth and quiet courage. His life was a testament to the power of kindness, the beauty of simplicity, and the enduring impact of a loving heart. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
