Sanjo Lee Koen 1939 – 2026

The adventurous, generous, and loving Sanjo Lee Koen, born on April 4, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Jan. 23, 2026. Sanjo was known for her infectious spirit and zest for life. Her adventurous nature shone through in her love for camping with the Comanche Peak Club, and her generosity could be felt in her active past participation in the Indian Harbor Ladies Garden Club. Sanjo found joy in every moment, including her beauty shop appointment every Friday and playing cards on Sunday with her church friends. Her loving nature was evident in her deep affection for her children, Samuel Charles Smith and Sandra Darlene Stutts and her grandchild, Chance McKenzie Smith; great-grandchildren Hayden Michael Smith and Payten McKenna Smith; great-great-grandchild Parker Marie Bartholomew, and many other extended family members. Sanjo was preceded in death by her father, Marvin and Lela Brown, and granddaughter Brittney Mi’Sean Smith.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Sanjo's life at a visitation to be held Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 6-8 p.m., and a service will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas. The burial will be at Everman Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas at 2:30 p.m. following the service.

Sanjo's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
