Ronald J. Botsko 1937 – 2026

Ronald J. Botsko was born Sept. 4, 1937, to Joseph and Lucile Botsko in Youngstown, Ohio. His life came to a peaceful end in the early morning hours on March 2, 2026, at home with his family. His unwavering faith, kindness and positivity will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In high school, Ron enjoyed playing football, basketballand baseball. Following high school, he received his degree from Case Institute of Technology. He moved to California and worked in aerospace and ultimately created his own corporation, NDT Systems. Upon retirement, he loved fishing, skiing, sailing and playing bridge. It was in California where he met the love of his life, Billie, and married her. They spent 26 years together, enjoying a life filled with love, laughter and travel with family and friends before she passed away.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Bob Berwin. He is survived by his stepdaughter and son-in-law, Mellanie and Jason; one grandchild, Katelyn; and his nephews and niece, Robert, Gregg and Laura. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends who will miss him beyond words.

A celebration of his wonderful life will be held at 1 p.m. March 20 at The Wiley Center in Granbury. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to Cancer Research Institute or Alzheimer’s Association.
