Photos for prizes

Submit your images celebrating the 4th of July to win HCN contest

Posted

The Hood County News is involving readers in photo coverage for the Saturday, July 12, print publication. If you have a camera, phone, drone, disposable camera or any way to take a picture, then you have a chance to win.

After running some miles, watching a parade and eating hot dogs, the sun should set and around 9:45-ish, look up at the sky. The Granbury fireworks are shot off above Lake Granbury, painting the dark sky with red, white and blue. The best places to see these fireworks that are shot directly behind the Pearl Street Bridge are at the Wellington State Bank, Lakeside Baptist Church and the Reunion Grounds.

If you have an eye for photography or think you are lucky enough to win, take and submit your best photos of the 4th of July celebration and send them to us. We will pick the best photo and run it in the newspaper. The winner will receive a year’s subscription and a Hood County News T-shirt. The contest will be open through July 8, and we will publish some of the photos online as well.

Send photos to our website (hcnews.com) where you can click on a “4th of July contest" logo and upload your photos.
