Patricia Ruth Walsh, 81, of Dallas, Texas, went home to her Heavenly father on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025. Pat was born July 3, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to Oslin and Merle Nation.
In Pat’s time here on earth, she was steadily going about doing the Father’s work. With Pat being a degreed librarian, she was instrumental in starting six church libraries in the United States, Zambia, and South Africa, with over 450,000 pieces of media distributed. As a personal mission, she bought bibles in the native languages of Zimbabwe, South Africa and Tanzania to pass out to anyone she passed by.
While attending a church in Michigan, the pastor requested that Pat create and lead a ladies bible study. This lady’s bible study grew in attendance to 125 ladies.
While attending First Baptist Church in Glen Rose, Pat created and led a prayer ministry that included six different prayer endeavors and recruited 265 people into that prayer ministry.
Along with being a Master Gardener that led teams to create large impactful landscaping at multiple churches, Pat had an article written about her in USA Today citing her as one of the Best Senior Executives in Business Researchers throughout many industries
Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Michael Gordon Walsh; her son David and wife Jenny Walsh, their children, Jacob, Sam, Jonathan and Michael; daughter Lisa Arpey and her children, Ally, Luke and James.
Funeral services: 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Glen Rose, Texas. A private burial was held following the service.
