Lake Granbury Master Gardeners is offering two $2,000 scholarships to Hood County students who are attending or will attend an accredited Texas college or university and major in horticulture or an agricultural-related field. The deadline to apply is April 14.
General administration of this scholarship program is under the direction of the Lake Granbury Master Gardeners Scholarship Committee. The committee members screen all applications and select the recipients. All applicants will be notified as soon as possible after receipt of the application if they were or were not selected as scholarship recipients. Applicants may be requested to interview with the committee.
“Our criteria is more than GPA, so this is an opportunity for all students interested in horticultural or an agricultural-related area of study to apply,” said Alicia Flower, Lake Granbury Master Gardener Scholarship Committee chair.
Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. All the scholarship information, including a link to the application, is available at txmg.org/hcmg/scholarships. For questions not answered on the webpage, please call the Hood County Extension Office at 817-579-3280.
