James Roland Lolley 1935-2025

James Roland Lolley of Granbury, Texas, passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 89 years and 9 months. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

Visitation will take place at 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Pecan Baptist Church, 7178 Fall Creek Highway, Granbury, Texas 76049; followed by interment in Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth at 2:00 p.m.

Jim was a member of Pecan Baptist Church, where he lived out his Christian faith through worship, fellowship, and service. His life was marked by devotion to God, his family, and his country.

He honorably served 35 years in the U.S. Army and the Texas National Guard, retiring with distinction as a Chief Warrant Officer. His leadership, discipline, and dedication to service left a lasting example for all who knew him.

Jim was a member of the volunteer fire department in Pecan Plantation where they moved to from Fort Worth in 1998, and was actively involved in the golfing program there. He also served on the transportation committee of the Colonial Invitational Golf Tournament in Fort Worth for over 20 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Julius L. and Mae Liner Lolley; brother, Stanley Lolley; and sister, Louise Lolley Tibbit.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Glenda Joyce Lolley; his sons, Lance Lolley and wife, Traci, and Lane Lolley and wife, Patti; and his grandchildren, Drew Lolley and wife, Chelsea, Russell Lolley and wife, Elizabeth, Paige Lolley Amin and husband, Arsalan, Mitchell Ben Lolley and wife, Angie, Eric Lolley and wife, Annemarie, Lindsie Rodriguez and husband, Maurice, and Mitchell Glosson. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Cameron Lolley, Alexander Amin, Claire Lolley, Nolan Lolley, Wyatt Lolley, Baby Amin (expected in January), Juliana and Madelyn Rodriguez, and Ella Jane Morgan. He is also survived by their adopted daughter, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim’s life reflected the words of 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
