Few people know that in Granbury, we are living on the last remnants of the Black Land Prairie. It is the most endangered ecosystem in the United States, with only 1% of the original habitat still intact. Texas Master Naturalist Ann Sansone is here to raise awareness and give the Black Land Prairie a fighting chance. Her lecture at Acton Nature Center Jan. 5 will teach those living on the prairie how to support it by planting native plants on whatever land they have available.
