CeCe was born in Fort Worth to Madge and Riley “Elmo” McMahan and they lived in Richland Hills with her siblings. CeCe was a majorette at Haltom High School where she graduated in 1963. She studied at the University at North Texas in Denton for one year before getting married to Ron and entering the working world.
CeCe was a hard worker and started working for Mr. Mack at the Bonded Storage and Moving Company in Fort Worth. She worked there for a long time until his passing. She was his right-hand girl, and he treated her like a daughter. In 1987 she went to work for the American Honda Motor Company at its offices in Irving, where she retired in 2009.
Before CeCe and Ron retired, they moved to Granbury and were both commuting long distance to work every day. Cece and Ron would hit the lake in the boat, drive for hours just to have lunch at a favorite restaurant, enjoy car shows and their favorite TV programs together, and spend time with family and friends. Her face would light up anytime she saw her great-grandson Maverick or saw photos or videos of him.
CeCe was preceded in death by her husband Ron, brother James “Jimmy” McMahan, parents Madge and Riley “Elmo” McMahan, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
CeCe leaves behind her daughter, Lana and her husband Randy Hood; granddaughter Haley and husband Ryan Johnson, grandson Dakota Duty and girlfriend Megan Campbell; great-grandson Maverick Johnson; sisters Maresa James of Lago Vista and Rachel and husband John Rowland of Fort Worth; brother Richard and wife Sharon McMahan of Richland Hills; several cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many lifelong friends.
