Doris Linell Master Dinkel 1934 — 2024

Doris Linell Master Dinkel, of Granbury, graced this world with her presence for 90 remarkable years. On Dec. 21, 2024, she passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy of love and service to others.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the first Presbyterian Church of Granbury, 303 W. Bridge Street, Granbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Presbyterian Church Granbury or Mission Granbury.

Doris was born to parents Grace and Lester Master in Fort Worth March 28, 1934.

She lived most of her life in Fort Worth before moving to Granbury in 1995 with her husband of 41 years, Carl Dinkel. Her life journey was a testament to her passion, dedication and unwavering love for family, friends and the underserved, which included a 25-year career working with mentally challenged adults through Tarrant County MHMR. For the past eight years of her life, she was the oldest volunteer at the New Beginnings Resale shop, which benefited Mission Granbury and the Ada Carey Shelter for Women and Children.

Doris was the loving mother of five children: Tony Bedford, Janet Williams, Kenneth Bedford (deceased), Derenda Bedford and Lester Bedford, and three stepchildren; Carla Dinkel, Skyla Hammond and Randy Dinkel (deceased). She also loved and adored her 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
