The Granbury City Council has approved a rezoning request and preliminary plat for Vaquero Acton Hwy Partners for a Dollar General store.
It will be located at 5640 Acton Highway, not far from a similar store: Family Dollar.
Plans involve building a 10,792-square-foot building on 1.4 acres.
The Dollar General will have access to both FM 4 (Acton Highway) and Fall Creek Highway with a new driveway allowing access to FM 4.
There are about 1,800 Dollar General stories scattered throughout the United States.
The company, which started as a family owned business in 1939, has grown into one of the most profitable stores in the country, with revenue reaching around $27 billion in 2019.
