On Friday, June 14, the Cresson Volunteer Fire Department hosted an open house for residents of Cresson and the surrounding area. Life Saving awards were presented by the Chisholm Trail 100 Club, along with a wetdown and push-in ceremony for the department’s new tanker, and the topping out and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new addition to the fire station. Young attendees also got a chance to get hands-on experience with some of the equipment firefighters use on the job.
