We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved sister Bonnie Lape of Granbury, Texas. Bonnie was born Jan. 22, 1965, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She passed peacefully on Aug. 28, 2025, at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth.
Bonnie was the former manager of TJ’s Private Club in Granbury ,Texas. Although she was not born in Texas, she considered herself a lifelong Texan. She grew up in Fort Worth, where she attended Eastern Hills High School. She loved to be the life of the party, often bringing her fun-loving spirit and sense of humor. She was a devoted Cowboys fan and Rangers fan. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, camping and tubing down the river with friends. She was always conscious of those around her and sought to help everyone.
She is survived by her siblings Frances Barnes of Granbury, Texas, Clyde Lape and wife Karen of Lexington, Oklahoma and Theresa Wright and husband Darrell of Fort Worth, Texas. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Lape, and father, Clyde Lape, as well as her long-time partner and true love, William “Willie” Herring.
She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in all of us. “Some things are more a feeling than they are a memory.”
