A.L. Warden 1963 – 2025

Posted

A.L. Warden, 62, of Granbury, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

A.L. was born Oct. 15, 1963, in Weatherford, Texas, to Norris Warden and Eva Marwitz. He graduated from Granbury High School in 1982 and quickly began working in construction. Driven by a strong work ethic and passion for building, A.L. eventually opened his own successful business, specializing in constructing metal buildings.

A true friend to all, A.L. never met a stranger. He loved finding treasures at yard sales and auctions and bragged about such deals. He generously donated his time and resources to local parks and churches within his community. Possessing a strong sense of justice, he could often be found lending a hand to folks who were down on their luck and defending others who needed support. Although a self-proclaimed outlaw who followed the outlaw code, A.L. had your back! His kindness, generosity, and lively spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A.L. is survived by his brothers, J.C. Warden and wife Marla, and R.T. Warden; his sister, Marzell Cox; his son, Mike Martin and wife Brittany; three grandchildren, Silas, Aubrey and Avery Martin; along with several nieces, nephews and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Eva.

Please join the family for a celebration of life to honor A.L. Warden on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 1-4 p.m., at the J.D. Neely Community Center in Tolar, Texas.
