On May 29, it will have been 18 years since the twofold tragedy struck the Paluxy River. Though many years have passed, the legacy of three heroes from that fateful event has only grown stronger, serving as a reminder to Hood and Somervell county residents of the heavy weight of the call to duty, and what it means to be a truly selfless friend.
