The Hood County Commissioners Court appointed nine residents to the Hood County Historical Commission last week — two more members than were required by the Texas Local Government Code.

After a six-week discussion, the Hood County Hospital District board has voted 5:4 to approve a resolution requesting that a dissolution language amendment be added to the Special District Code 1042 of the hospital district.

Following in the footsteps of the Hood County Commissioners Court, the Hood County Hospital District board approved a resolution last week, seeking to change the structure of how members are chosen to represent the board.
