This fall, Granbury’s beloved Texas wine festival will take on a new identity as the Granbury Wine Celebration: A Texas Wine Showcase. Set for Nov. 8-9 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., this year’s festival promises an immersive experience in the heart of Texas wine country on Granbury’s historic square.
The event hope to create a new tradition of gathering Texas wineries, artisans and boutique vendors around the iconic courthouse square.
The festival, originally created in 2010 by a group of locals seeking to boost the economy during tough times, now welcomes wineries and vineyards from across North Texas — a departure from the recent focus on Cross Timbers Wine Trail members. “We’re thrilled to broaden our scope,” said an event spokesperson. “By welcoming more wineries from across the entire North Texas region, we’re offering a richer array of Texas wines for wine enthusiasts to discover.”
The rebranded event will honor tickets purchased for the previously named Granbury Winter Wine Walk. A highlight for ticketholders will be the opportunity to enjoy 15 one-ounce tasting samples from 10 Texas wineries. Attendees can expect great wine and the warm, welcoming ambiance that has become the hallmark of the festival, with vendors clustered in intimate groups around the square.
As part of its ongoing commitment to the community, the 2024 Granbury Wine Celebration has selected United Way of Hood County as its charitable partner. This choice reflects the festival’s dedication to supporting meaningful local causes, ensuring that proceeds contribute directly to efforts benefiting the Granbury area.
For those looking ahead, details for the April 2025 event will be announced later. Additional information is available at GranburyWine.com or by calling the Granbury Wine Celebration Team at 682-500-4121.
