Posted

The Granbury community is gearing up for the "Help the Shelters" event Saturday, June 15, at 1830 N. Plaza Drive, located behind PNC Bank at the intersection of U.S. Highway 377 and Acton Highway.

Local sponsors Chuck Licata and Tony Mobly invite residents to donate to support local animal shelters. The shelters urgently need specific items, including Pedigree dog food, Pedigree puppy food, Purina dog food (rice, lamb, chicken), towels and blankets, collars and leashes, stainless steel bowls, kitty litter, Purina cat food, aluminum cans for recycling, Clorox brand original bleach and paper towels.

The event promises more than just a collection drive. Attendees can enjoy free cookies, popcorn, treats, coffee, water and more. The event also offers a chance to meet and greet shelter pets and representatives, providing a perfect opportunity for animal lovers to connect with their local shelters.

"Help the Shelters" aims to replenish the supplies of local shelters and improve the lives of animals waiting for adoption. Community participation is essential for Help the Shelters to be successful, and everyone is encouraged to donate and attend.
