The Historic Granbury Merchants Association was happy to host another fun, free, and family-oriented Labor Day celebration over the long weekend in and around the Courthouse Square. Kid’s Corner children's activities provided by the YMCA were a huge draw for the youngsters. Meanwhile at the City Beach Park beach goers enjoyed favorite water activities such as kayaking and tubing, stand-up waterboarding, and more. On Labor Day with K-Hits Radio broadcasting live from the beach, every child earned a prize after participating in the wildly popular Bobber Drop for kids (12 & under) sponsored by Pug on a Pontoon! The Labor Day Weekend Festival and Sidewalk Sale. Vendors were set up to sell while shops around the square bristled with signs about great Labor Day Sidewalk Sales. Other Labor Day Weekend highlights included Sunday’s lovely Lighted Boat Parade and Jason Cartmell Band Saturday bringing music lovers to their feet at Saturday’s Street Dance.
