A 5-foot-tall metal statue of a suit of armor, was taken off the porch of the Williamsons’ porch of their Pearl Street residence sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 2 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 3, said Nadya Williamson.
The statue was a wedding gift 16 years ago. For 16 years, the statue, named Murphy, stood either in their living room or on the porch when the couple had to move him to make room for the Christmas tree.
The Williamsons had just taken down their Christmas decorations but hadn’t moved Murphy back indoors when he was taken. She is hoping whoever took Murphy will bring him back, Williamson said, explaining the statue has more sentimental than retail value.
