Miller: Glitch with mail-in ballots affecting city prop tallies

A glitch with mail-in ballots is preventing election officials from being able to tally page two of the city’s proposed charter amendments. The official count on the 20 propositions will likely not be known until Wednesday because the software company will have to correct the problem, said Elections Administrator Crickett Miller. The malfunction will not affect council races, she stated. Miller said that the mail-in ballots total more than 2,300 but not all of them are from people who live within the city limits.
