Registrations are now being accepted by the Hood County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office for horticulture training to become a master gardener. The classes will meet every Tuesday beginning March 25 and concluding on May 27. Class locations locate between Hood, Somervell and Johnson County. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31.

This year marked 70 years for the Hood County Junior Livestock Show and Sale. Events ran from Tuesday, Jan. 7 through Saturday, Jan. 11.
