Granbury ISD hosted this year’s annual Summer Launch May 29 in the high school auditorium, decked in all the bells and whistles to honor this special occasion. At this “Launch,” GISD’s administration sought to honor this year’s best-of-the-best educators and staff — the ones who really made the grade.

In 1886, a grand opera house was optimistically constructed as the crown jewel of a newly incorporated and equally optimistic town. Since 1886, the opera house’s story has mirrored the prosperity of the town of Granbury, participating in its feasts and its famines, and serving as a sign of the times for this little municipality.

Make a mark on the community by donating a marker, help erase generational poverty by donating an eraser, and pencil in a child's future by donating a pencil,  because Operation Back to School is back — and bigger than ever.

Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll never go hungry. But what happens when you teach a woman to fish? Well, in the case of Sherry McClesky, it means you’ll spend your summers passing along the trade to other young women.

GHS hosted it's second summer camp for grades 1-9. The next camp will be July 7-10. The goals of the camps are to helpthe students develop skills, fundementals , learn the game and have fun.
