Sandra Jane (Sandy) Townsend of Tolar went to her eternal rest on July 24, 2010 at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth after complications of a stroke she suffered in April.
Services were held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Riley Funeral Chapel. Buried followed at Murphree Cemetery in Evant, Texas.
Sandy was born and raised in Fort Worth where she met her beloved husband of 35 years James Henry Townsend. After they married, the couple moved and made their home in Tolar.
Sandy will be remembered as a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Sandy leaves behind her husband, James Henry Townsend, her daughter Ruth Ann Fiebig and husband Joe of Holland, Texas, her son Arthur Scott Brown and wife Melissa of Holland, Texas. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two sisters Patricia Freeman of Arlington and Connie Monroe and husband Russell of Kaufman, Texas and an extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws that will all miss her dearly.
