A representative of Texas Utilities and Southwest Water Company said via email Tuesday afternoon that there is still a boil water notice in effect for residents of Western Hills Harbor after three “significant” leaks were found and repaired by Monarch Utilities. Communications Manager Janice Hayes stated that water to the plant serving the 295 customers had to be interrupted for the repairs but the system is back online. However, some customers may still experience low water pressure while technicians flush the system. “Water samples have been submitted to an independent lab for testing,” Hayes said. “Once the lab indicates all clear, the boil water notice will be lifted.” Signs are posted at the entrances of Western Hills Harbor notifying residents of the situation, Hayes noted.
