A well house was destroyed in a fire Friday, said Hood County Fire Marshal Ray Wilson. Firefighters responded at 7 a.m. to Daniels Court south of Granbury, Wilson said. The structure was a complete loss, he said, and the cause is still under investigation.
Sparks from cutting metal started a second grass fire Friday near Robinson Creek on Lipan Highway Friday morning. Firefighters from Station 70, Lipan and the Granbury fire departments responded to the call at around 11:30 a.m., Wilson said. The fire burned about 5 acres before it was extinguished.
