Vacant home sustains fire damage

A vacant home on North Teka Court, just off of Mitchell Bend Court in southern Hood County, had major damage in the dining room and kitchen areas when a fire broke out early Monday evening, Fire Marshal Brian Fine said. The flames started outside and then spread to the structure, Fine said. It was ruled accidental, and there were no injuries, Fine added.
