Three people taken to local hospital after accident

Three people were transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center with what were described as non-lifethreatening injuries after a Ford Explorer and a Buick sport utility vehicle collided shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday on Mambrino Highway, just southeast from Mambrino School, according to a DPS trooper at the scene. The 49-year-old driver of the Ford and an 82-year-old passenger, both of Pecan Plantation, were hospitalized, along with the 71-year-old female driver of the Buick.
