Sheriff: Nail gun mistaken for ‘shots fired’

The sheriff’s office “nailed” down the case after a bit of confusion. Sheriff Roger Deeds explained the caper: Shots were reported fired about 10 a.m. Thursday in Oak Trail Shores. Deputies responded but found no guns. However, they did find a carpenter operating a nail gun at a house. Hence, the “shots fired.” Then someone else called authorities and said Facebook was reporting four people shot in OTS. “Not true,” the sheriff said.
