Prosecutor: Granbury man sentenced to life in prison for murder

Thomas Grady Layton, 48, of Bronco Road in the Western Hills Harbor subdivision, on Friday afternoon in district court in McKinney was convicted of murdering his 64-year-old mother, Grada Layton, of Plano, according to Collin County Assistant Criminal District Attorney Paul Anfosso. Layton got an automatic life prison sentence, without possibility of parole, as a result of the capital murder conviction, Anfosso said.
