One mighty melon

Robert Lowery and his son David Lowery have something big to brag about this summer. REALLY big. They grew a 175-pound watermelon in their garden off Cleveland Road with seed from a watermelon grown by Robert’s cousin in South Carolina. This is Robert’s first garden, and he used organic humus and manure and Miracle Gro garden soil.
