Man questioned, arrested – but not for downtown incident

The 25-year-old man who had been sought by Granbury police Friday after an initial report that he had gone into a shop on the downtown square and told a clerk he had a “Smith & Wesson” in his pocket was arrested – but not for that incident, which Chief of Police Mitch Galvan said was a misunderstaning. Officers found that the man did not have any sort of firearm, but did have enough marijuana to be arrested and charged with possession, a Class B misdemeanor.
