Luminant gives $50,000 to county for new EOC

Jan Caldwell and other representatives of Luminant presented Sheriff Roger Deeds and Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Coordinator Ray Wilson with a check for $50,000 Tuesday morning (Oct. 8) to be used for the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) that is being built. The presentation was made during the regular meeting of the Commissioners Court. Luminant participates in regular drills at the EOC, which currently is housed near emergency dispatch in the Law Enforcement Center. The new, freestanding EOC will be located nearby.
