Library hours may change

The Hood County Library may adjust the hours it is open to the public, if the Commissioners Court agrees. The agenda for Tuesday’s regular court meeting includes a proposal to close the library at 6 p.m. on Mondays instead of 7 p.m. and to close at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays instead of staying open until 9. Right now, the library is closed due to construction work as part of an expansion project that will be finished before the end of the year. A scaled-down version of the library will reopen to the public on Thursday at American Town Hall, located next to the library at 220 N. Travis St.
