Judge revokes Nolen’s bond; new total set at $350,000

Bonds totaling $160,000 for Weatherford resident Tyson James Nolen, 26, the former Lipan coach  and teacher accused of multiple felony counts involving sex crimes and improper relationships with underage students, were revoked Tuesday morning in district court. Judge Ralph Walton reset Nolen’s bond total for his five felony counts to $350,000, District Attorney Rob Christian said. Nolen was re-arrested last Tuesday in Parker County and on Tuesday Walton ruled he had violated one of the terms of his probation. If Nolen posts the new bond amount, Walton put in place a new probation condition that he will have to remain at his home 24 hours a day until his trial, Christian said.
