Insurance that protects taxpayers

The Commissioners Court voted Tuesday (Nov. 13) to participate in the Texas Indigent Defense Commission’s Regional Public Defender Program. It works similar to an insurance policy, and is designed to help counties save considerable sums of money in capital murder trials.
