A Hood County Jail inmate was found dead in his cell from a hanging Thursday morning, said Public Information Officer Lt. Johnny Rose. Around 5 a.m., jailers discovered Curtis Allen Resecker, 38, of Glen Rose, dead in his cell. Paramedics were called, but Resecker could not be revived, Rose said.
Resecker was a Somervell County Sheriff’s Office inmate and has been in the Hood County jail since January. He was charged with retaliation, violation of a protective order, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of deadly conduct with bonds totaling $805,000.
The case is under investigation by the Hood County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers. The body was sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
