Hart sentenced to 99 years in prison for assault on officers

Fallon Wayne Hart, 36, of Kerens, late Thursday morning in district court was sentenced by a jury to 99 years in prison on three counts of aggravated assault on a public servant. The Jan. 21 incident involved three peace officers who were shot at multiple times with an AR-15 rifle after they had pursued Hart and a female companion into the Spanish Trail subdivision from South Morgan Street when an officer stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle.
