Fort Worth man latest to join Hood County resident in prison for 2010 murder

Tyrone Pierre Thomas, 27, of Fort Worth, on Wednesday was sentenced by a Tarrant County jury to life in prison without parole for his role in a March 2010 Fort Worth convenience story robbery that resulted in the murders of two men, according to a news release. Hood County resident Randy Seibel was also sentenced last December to life without parole for his involvement in the incident. Seibel was charged with capital murder, but prosecutors waived the death penalty in his case. In January 2012, Kwame Rockwell was convicted of capital murder in the case and sentenced to death after testimony indicated he shot the two victims. One defendant, Chance Smith, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in 2011 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his testimony. Another defendant, Timothy Thomas, is awaiting his capital murder trial.
