A concept plan for a 5-story apartment building for seniors 55 and older was accepted by the Granbury City Council at its regular meeting Tuesday night. It was submitted by BGO Architects on behalf of Don Walker. The luxury one- and two-bedroom units – 144 of them – are planned for the area behind the old Texaco station that is by the entrance ramp to Hwy. 377 on South Morgan Street/Hwy. 144. The council’s acceptance of the concept plan was only the beginning of an approval process and means that the council has no serious issues with the project. The applicant is to submit a formal plan to the city within 18 months.
