Fire marshal asks to delay controlled burns because of high wind

February 25, 2013

Hood County is not under a burn ban, but Fire Marshal Brian Fine on Monday put out a request for residents to hold off on all controlled burns until Thursday because of high winds from 25 mph up to 50 mph expected in this region through Wednesday. Fine said that winds are predicted to be in the 10-15 mph range here on Thursday.
