Fifth annual Bow Wow Trick or Treat event scheduled

Saturday, Oct. 26, will mark the fifth annual Bow Wow Trick or Treat event on the square to benefit two local animal rescue organizations – the Hood County Animal Lovers Organizations (HALO) and Second Chance Farm. For $5 per dog, pampered pets can enjoy trick-or-treating around the town square, with merchants handing out treats to costumed canines. Professional pet photography will be available for an additional fee, as well as the chance to win $50 gift cards through a doggie costume contest. There will be vendors near Granbury City Hall, and Deputy Gary Clark and his drug dog will give working demonstrations at 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. The Bow Wow Trick-or-Treat event will take place from 12:30 to 4 p.m. For more information, contact HALO at 817-326-3655.
