By the time the polls closed Wednesday (Oct. 30), 2,480 registered voters in Hood County had voted for the Nov. 5 General Election, which has several local races and a school bond issue on the ballot. Tuesday’s vote total was 291, according to Elections Administrator Jenise “Crickett” Miller, with 232 people voting at Annex 1 and another 59 voting at a temporary branch site at Nettie Baccus Elementary School. Wednesday’s count was 216. There was no temporary branch site available for that day. Early voting at Annex 1, 1410 W. Pearl St., will end at 7 p.m. Friday (Nov. 1). However, polls in the foyer at Granbury High School will be open that day from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
