Conaway introduces “The FriendSHIP Act”

U.S. Rep Mike Conaway, R-Midland, has introduced H.R. 6000, known as “The FriendSHIP Act,” which authorizes the transfer of an amphibious ship to Japan, providing reinforced security to “an increasingly dangerous part of the world.” The ship in question, a TARAWA class amphibious ship in decommissioned status, “will help Japan bolster its navy as well as provide critical humanitarian assistance and disaster relief,” Conaway said in a statement.
