Boater safety classes save lives

May 13, 2014

As the drought continues and lake levels drop, it’s important that boaters take special care to avoid obstacles that can be seen above water and those that are unseen just below the water’s surface. Classes are available for ages 12 and older, though children may not be certified until they are 13. Those 16 and younger must be accompanies by an adult. Class dates are Saturdays, May 17,  June 21, July 19 and August 23. All sessions are held at the Brazos River Authority office at 4552 Mambrino Highway. For more information and to register, call Lake Ranger Randy Johnston at 817-573-1407.
